I found this at a yard sale. It's 32 inches wide, and 36 inches tall. With 2 drawers ubder the seat. Look's like walnut to me. Thanks!

This is a 19th century "Hall Seat" that date to about 1875, as its name suggests these were used in front halls to sit on while taking off boots and shoes. These were a hot item during the Victorian decorating trend of the 1980's and early 90's, but demand for them now is quite weak. Comparable pieces now go at auction in the $200.00- $300.00 range.
