Okay, so here is the deal with your book: there is a lot of discrepancy as to the value of the first edition book- a LOT of trying to rip people off. The reality is that it is a very well known book that also has an overabundance of copies. I'm not even going to put a number on your book-l, I'll just relate it to my treasured first edition of chitty chitty bang bang- I will never sell it because I love it, but it's only worth about $25- it's too common. The one thing that sucks to point out is that true first edition White Fang came out in May 1906, and the true first edition is worth about $100 (which is pretty awesome if you ever find the green hardcover). Values for old books depends on the fame of the author, the edition and rarity. First editions of this book in near fine condtion can list with antiquarian booksellers at close to $1000.00, copies in fair to good condition often list at over $250.00.
