Whitman's Messenger Boy Counter Display

Description This messenger boy is carrying a 5lb. box of whitman's sampler candy box. It's made of wood. Has a cross stitch design. I believe it was introduced around 1915 -20's. It has one small chip on the shoulder. I have read that it is rare and not many were made. I have seen that one sold at an auction for $2600. I Might be interested in selling it after apprasal but not until I find out more about it.
