Re: Wolverine Mfg Co Detroit 1887 Table
Your table is in the Empire Revival style, which was popular from the turn of the 19th Century through the early 1920's. There is not a huge demand for it today, but small tables of any type that can be used as pedestals or planr stands still sell well. If properly refinished a good one could go fro $275.00.
Re: Wolverine Mfg Co Detroit 1887 Table
This Wolverine Mfg Co. of Detroit, not to be confused with a later outfit making specialty products after WWII, was apparently established in 1887 and (from my research) ceased doing business around 1912. That alone gives you a minimum age of 100 years. I own an Arts & Crafts/Mission style oak library table/desk with the same decal. My recollection is that they purveyed their furniture by catalogue so it would not be unusual to find it anywhere in the U.S. Styles marketed apparently were varied and perhaps even copied from other manufacturers. At this time I would not value it at more than $100 USD.
