These are generally referred to as " Steamer Trunks" as they were often used for travel by ship, Circa 1890-1920, the flat tops allowed the stacking of trunks one on top of the other. Values for them depend on condition and maker. In the rough they generally sell at auction for under $75.00.
That price of 75.00 really is cheap!! Could I get someone else's opinion on the value of this wooden trunk. I think the pics make it look somewhat worse than it really is.
