I have the same question, Mine is a wooden jewelry box, or so is what it appears to be, mine was made in 1977 but the sticker and most of the writting has been worn down/torn apart, THANK YOU FOR YOUR POST! It has helped me alot, and hopefully I might come across something of valuable information and help you. I got it from my mom as a child abd kept it in good condition because of the wonderful imagery. It looks like it was burned into the wood then hand painted certain areas and sealed it. Mine is almost in perfect condition, No sign of damage (33yrs years old and like brand new, Its impressive!)
