Description

We have an old desk that was left by previous tenants. It is in rough shape, but could be nice if restored. It is a very cool old desk. Part of the right side top flips up to reveal a compartment. There is a drawer on the left side. Yawman and Erbe Mfg Co is printed on the front and there is a metal plaque on the right side front that reads 377. We cant find any other markers or labels anywhere else. We have searched online quite a bit and could not find anything similar by that company. Wed just like to know if this desk is worth any money and if it would be worth it to restore it to sell. Thanks in advance.

It's loosely based on the Mission style, which was popular from the turn of the 19th Century to about World War One but this is a later example from the 1920's. This one needs a lot of work, and unless you do it yourself it might not be worth fixing, even in good shape we seldom sell these for around $450.00.

It just strikes me as odd that we couldn't find anything like it online. Even the mission style you mentioned is quite different. But Im sure you know what youre talking about. Mind you we are college kids so $500 on a solid restoration sounds good to me. Thank you for the information.
