water pitcher and wash basin set. made of semi porcelaine by dudson, wilcox, and till ltd of hanley england. the theme is floral 'clematis', pink to deep pink in color. large, approx 3 gallon, basin and a one to one and one-half gallon pitcher.

can someone please help me out with this? my mother inlaw is very curious as to the value of this set. she has been debating whether to sell it or to keep it. i need to get an estimate asap before she desides to sell it for way below what it is worth.

Your wash basin set dates after 1891 and is of a type made in Staffordshire, England in huge numbers during the mid to late 19th Century. Values for items like this reached their peak in the early 1990's, demand has since dropped off considerably for them . At auction now comparable basin & jug sets top out at about $250.00.
