Description
This plate looks as though it is very ancient maybe of Assyrian, Egyptian, or Babylonian decent. It has what appears to be three men fighting or trying to kill an unknown animal with a horn of some sort on top of its head and a cherubim in the sky above pointing upward... there are also some depictions of maybe a flowering plant native to the area that it was made in? The intricacy of the detail in its artwork and craftsmanship are incredible. It has no insignia, hallmark, or any kind of signature from its creator either???? Please help me figure out what it is that I’ve found!
Re: Ancient Copper/Silver Assyrian, Egyptian, Babylonian Plate
Notice the "pyramids" in the backround with what appears to be paths leading up to them... or could it be a depiction of some sort of "tractor beam" or "rocket thrusts" maybe?..... SUPER WEIRD!!! {cue Twilight Zone music...OOOOWWWEEEEEOOO!!}...LOLOLOL
Ancient Copper etc Plate
This is a beautiful plate/platter however I doubt that it's an ancient piece. The condition looks too good too. Is it solid copper/metal? At 5 to 8 lbs, it must be thick. Are you sure this isn't plaster? It might not even be a an antique and if plaster, certainly not. Go to:

(Try it without the apostrophe if it doesn't work.)
You can submit a photo of the item there and they'll tell you if they would put it up for auction. Only if accepted for auction will they tell you what this really is and what it's worth. Don't worry, I believe they only accept items worth $500 or more for their auctions. Just don't tell them you don't want to sell it. They'll get back to you in a few days. You're not required to put anything up for auction with them either until a contract is signed anyway. If the item is worth less than $500, they won't tell you the value nor give give any other info about it. If they're intersted however, they will tell what you have and possible sale at auction price. If it's a contemporary piece though, I'd guess it's worth anywhere from $20.00 to $50.00. In that case, I'd buy it for $30.00 if you wanted to sell it.
Another suggestion is to take it to a local museum or the Art department of a university nearby and speak to one of the professors.
