Hotpoint Range

By mcupp, 22 June, 2009
Description

I apologize if this is a duplicate post.

We recently bought a house and "inherited" this range. I assume it is the original range from when the house was built in 1959. When the kitchen was upgraded it appears the previous owners just moved it to the basement. I do not know if it works as there is no 220v in that location to hook it up. I would like to know the value and year of production if possible. I have searched the internet for this model and there are no hits in search engines.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Hotpoint Range

I also have an old hotpoint range. I found out that the last two numbers in the serial number are the year it was made. So yours is from 1942. Mine is from 1959, and it works great.
