Interesting. I just picked up the exact desk at an estate sale yesterday (original asking $50, got for $20/ Chair went for $120, to another lucky individual) and I found this post looking for some information.
The top of mine is in pretty rough condition. Planning on restoring everything for personal use.
Unfortunately I don't have any info myself, but I'll keep my eye on this post if anything comes up.
