carnival glass vase

By kimba532, 22 January, 2011
Description

I am very curious about this piece.  The base is 4 inches across, slimming down to 1/2 stem, barely able to fit one flower stem, then opens up with the fluted edges 7 inches across.  The fluted edge in the top being turned down.  The stem has a slight curve to it.  The glass appears smooth, yet there is a tulip shaped pattern from base to underside of edges - can't seem to get that to show up in a photo..  No matter how hard I try I cannot find a makers mark anywhere on it.

Re: carnival glass vase

Someone told me this is not carnival glass, but an opalecent art glass.  Perhaps Pairpoint?
