Silver tea service purchased in Germany around 1956. Includes tea pot, coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl all on a silver tray. Originally had a plate of glass that sat on the tray, but this is now missing.
The stamps have "Alpacca" on them as well as "Versilbere"? This is outside of an oval with an O a chalice and a W inside the oval.
Under this stamp are two marks: one that looks like a capital "T" over top of one that looks like an upside down "T" .
Re: Silver Tea Set
Alpaca silver is a combination of copper, zinc, and nickel. It was made to immitate the appearance of actual silver and has zero silver in it. Value for "alpaca silver" is extremely low. This set is worth around $50, give or take $25.
