In 1925 the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Corporation joined up with the General Electric Company and manufactured the all-electric phonograph. One of the engineers, Don Whalen, gave it the name "Panatrope". The Brunswick Corporation continued to make the hand crank models as well, in mid 1926 they introduced the Panatrope exponential-horn acoustic models in the U.S.A., six months after it had introduced the electric models.
Values for crank phonographs peaked in the 1990's and have declined for all but the rarest models in recent years
