I bought this at a garage sale last year for $10.00 - the original price was $12 but she gave it to me for $10 because she was trying to get rid of it.
It's a Mattel Jack in the Box, and is Mattel Incorporated, Los Angeles, California.
It is patenend in Canada, 1951,1953.
STOCK NO. 507 PAT. NOS. 2,630,655, 2,504,666, 2,649,652
Music was arranged by Ted Duncan
Decor by Louis Song
This was a toy and had use to it. On each panel are some scratches, and on the blue panel, it is beginning to come loose.
The top lid has little wear to it, however, there are two indents on two ends - on the yellow and red panels, and on the red and green. The yellow and red is a little more visible than the other and if you were not looking for it, you wouldn't have seen it.
The crank works and plays the music in sync with the "Jack" clown popping out of the box. The lid closes with no problem by pushing the "Jack" clown into the box.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks so much!
