Description
I bought a very small dresser or chest with 4 drawers in it at an auction yesterday. It said it was from the mid 1800's. In each drawer there are little round circles like for small bottles or jars that used to be places in them. The circles are carved into the drawers like it was specifically made for this. Does anyone know what the circles are for, or what this dresser used to hold? Thank you.
Re: Small dresser with small circles inside drawers
It dates from the turn of the 19th Century (1890-1910) and looks a lot like a Victrola cabinet stand, one that would have stored wax cylinders. One would go for about $150.00 at auction, more to a collector.
