Lyre shaped wood barometer

appears to be a hand carved, painted Lyre shaped wood frame with a barometer that says Made in Germany. The front is painted green with the detail that appears to be a gold leaf colored. The back is painted gray (appears to be one coat) and not meant to be displayed. The designs painted gold colored on the front appear to be done freehand. I am curious about this piece.
