Re: Spotlight on Oyster Plates

What do oyster plates look like? How do you Identify them?

Spotlight on oyster plates

Another great new collectible that's really picking up momentum lately are oyster plates. Many of these fine plates are made in France (those tend to be the most collectible ones and hold the most value), but there are some American varieties that are also collected.

Prices for good quality French Oyster plates, range anywhere from $75.00 up to the $500.00 range for some of the most beautiful pieces. Gien France is one of the popular manufacturers.

So, if you are serious about your oysters, or just enjoy a very beautiful and collectible plate, then consider adding French Oyster Plates to your collectibles list.
