Six chairs a table with three incerts and a buffet
Chair has multicolored needle point seat, arm rests, and back (2 places). The needle point is in excellent shape. The wood is in excellent shape. One spindle has a very small chip in a place that is very difficult to see (front spindle where meets arm rest, and a small crack in wood at front corner of seat.
I have no idea where this came from. It might be Indonesian or some place in Asia or the South Pacific. Not sure what kind of wood it is; it's heavy though. Maybe mahagony (altough mahagony is darker). At first I thought this was a man but the figure appears to have has breasts. Just not sure at all. In one hand it's holding a fish. You can see in the pic that there's a crack down the front but it's not deep at all. There's no identifying mark or signature anywhere on the piece including the bottom. I haven't cleaned/polished it yet. Appreciate any info about this piece e.g., where it's from, value and age.

The table has a hand painted picture of the story of Sleeping Beauty on it with ornate painted flowers on the front and back of the chair, as well as the leafs of the table. Set was made by my husband's great, great grandfather sometime in the late 1800's for his daughter. The set has been passed on to each of the Freeman for the last two generations, ending with my mother-in-law who died in May. The cane on the seat of the chair has never been changed or replaced but is still in great condition. The type of wood is unknown to me but the set's still in great shape considering the age and use that it has seen.
Black Cherry (Finish #24) Henkel Harris slant top desk (#6001) and book case (#6002). Purchased new in 1988. Mint condition. Moving, it needs a new home.
