Bone Tile Animal

Appraisal complete
Description It's an animal shaped piece covered in bone tiles, I know absolutely nothing factual about it. The person who ran the estate sale I got it from called it an antique Chinese dog planter, I don't believe any of those things except maybe "planter" Ideally I would like to know: - When it was made - Where it was made - What kind of animal it's supposed to be - If there are other things like it (I've seen bone tile animals elsewhere but except for one bone tile parrot they're usually much less stylized than this thing) - If I got played for a fool at the estate sale auction I got it from
