Hello, I have a table that is cherry colored and has a 1 foot leaf. It has the EZ slide mechanism from Jefferson woodworking company. The table has rounded corners on top and an inlaid diamond pattern with alternating dark and light colored wood. There is ornate carving on legs pedestal and chairs. Suites of this type date
Suites of this type date from the 1930's and like many made during this period are a mix of historical styles from Queen Anne to late Victorian, mixed with Art Deco. This mixing of styles makes them difficult to identify for the novice collector, often making the pieces appear far older than they actually are. The quality of this set is better than most made during this period, in the shops such sets sell in the $1800.00- $2400.00 range.

thanks, that helps! Is there any way to determine the manufacturer of the table? Did Jefferson Woodworking make the set or just the slide leaf mechanism? thanks again

Jefferson made your suite,
Jefferson made your suite, the EZ slide mechanism was made by a separate company. The EZ slide can be found on a great many American made tables from the 1920's -50s.
