Long Description
Wooden Children's "High Chair", converts into a walker by pressing two levers on underneath of seat. Four small metal (possibly iron) wheels allow the chair to roll when converted.
Tray table comes up and over the chair and there is a small footrest.Â
Seat and backrest appear to have been replaced by a cheaper wood at some stage.
Frame appears to be original.
Allegedly a chamber pot was attached to the original seat.
Was given to my mother cira 1975, has date stamp on rear Feb 1876 and a white ceramic disk which appears to be a patent register No 3088.

These convertible Victorian high chairs were a hot item up until the 1990's, not so much now. Of the ten we've seen sold at auction this year none have sold for over $225.00. They are still popular though with Doll Collectors as props, which appears to be their main market.
