Long Description
This was one of my late mother's favorite pieces. As far as I can tell, the rack has it's original gold-painted finish. There is one small spool missing at the center top, but other than that, the wood part of the rack is in good condition. The fabric panel has some worn areas, and it appears as if the material may have already been well-used when the rack was made.
Can anybody tell me approximately when this might have been made? I am guessing the 1930's, but could it be earlier?
I would love to know what this rack is worth. Were these ever made commercially, or are things like this always one-of-a-kind?
Also, is there a specific term for this craft? Is it called Spool Art? Tramp Art? Folk Art?

Re: Wall Rack Made With Spools; Tramp Art?
Still hoping that somebody can give me some information about this rack.
I forgot to mention that this rack is approximately 24 inches high and 22 inches wide. Perhaps it was for magazines or sheet music?
