Re: solid brass pot cup thing need more info on it
Do you have dimensions of them?
A nested cup arraignment like this I have seen before, and the dates are about right, but a long time ago in a museum.
If it is what I am thinking of, you have the measuring cups for black powder for cannons. They are brass to avoid both corrosion and getting sparks from them (bad thing to have when measuring explosive powder). Different sizes for different sized cannons & shot.

The dimensions of the biggest cup are 2 1/4 across and 2 1/2 tall. second cup is 1 3/4 across and 1 1/2 tall. third cup is 1 3/8 across and 1 3/8 tall. the whole cup is 4 1/2 tall. any idea of the value

Humm, a bit smaller than the ones I saw for cannon, but they are so close to the same design, I'd suggest the smaller rail mounted cannon possibly.
If you can find history on them, it would add to the value, but the uniqueness of them I'd guess to be about $75 to $200.
