This is a Jack Daniels statue that is about 11" tall with a 1/2" tall base, the base is a 3"x3" square, the statue and base has a total height of 11 1/2". It is 1 of 250 from a set made at Poly-Art Products, Inc. in Murfreesboro,Tennessee. These were the only ones ever made in Tennessee. Most had been made in Chicago. The mold was destroyed after the 250 were made. The statue was made out of a resin and pecan meal mixture.Usually the statues had been made out of wood or plastic.Poly-Art Products, Inc. was closed in 1973 which means the statue can never be duplicated. Mr. Hancock, a past president of Jack Daniels Distillery, in an interview with a researcher, confirmed these facts as did Mr. Brashears also a past president of The Jack Daniels Distillery. I have a hand written letter from the researcher and a type written letter on Jack Daniels letterhead and signed by Mr. Brashears cofirming this and comfirming it is one of the 250. I also have a letter signed by Mr. Swanson owner of Poly-Art Products, Inc. cofirming this. Mr. Hancock also said that of the 250 statues that 80 were sent overseas and 170 were sent to top distributors in the states. These were not sold or offered to the public but only given as gifts to the distributors. The Jack Daniels Distillery does not have one of these for itself.
