This walnut desk has been in my family since at least the 60's. It has a drop-lid front that has carvings of cherubs riding on waves (?). Inside the desk are cubby holes without doors, two cubby holes with doors, and four small drawers (two on each side). Underneath the drop lid is a narrow drawer that spans the entire width of the desk. Below that are two doors; behind one door are three drawers and behind the other is a shelf. At each end of the desk, where the drop lid folds down is a carving of a lion's head and below each head, at the very bottom of the desk is a carved foot.

It is also in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts(http://www.artsmia.org/MODERNISM/image_school.cfm?oid=203) and (http://www.artsmia.org/MODERNISM/text.cfm?oid=203)
