1933 Hoosier Style Cabinet

Description

Beautiful Hoosier style cabinet.  I believe this is the original paint.  The pull out table has a 1 inch long chip in the paint on one edge from pulling the table out for use over the years.  The roll top bread drawer still works.  The bottom cabinet includes a metal pie rack as well as a spice rack on the inside of one door.  All of the doors still close and latch properly.  It does not look like there was ever a flour sifter or sugar bin installed.

Hoosiers were hot items during the 1980's- 90's, but are now not near as sought after. They peaked in value for a really good one in natural oak finish in perfect condition at about $1800.00, the painted variety from the late 1920's were not near as sought after. Today a painted hoosier at auction might bring $300.00 on a good day.
