This appears to be a butter churn with the missing lid/stick. I used to churn with someithing like that 30+ years ago. Our churn is still in excellent condition. Good luck.

I agree with the other posters, it's a butter churn, but missing its top and plunger. Unless it's marked or decorated in cobalt blue most like this sell at auction for under $150.00.
