Hand-crank Wringer

Description Found in barn, behind grandmother's home. Grandmother said she and her siblings helped her mother do the laundry with this piece! My grandmother would have been 112 years old today, had she lived.

History Found in Hitchita, Oklahoma, 'Creek Country'-in Great Grandmother's old home-place, in the barn. She had said her mother owned it. This piece would be 'clamped' onto the side of a large barrell, where they would have washed their clothing and 'cranked' the clothing through this wringer to wring them out. My great grandmother would have been 112, if she had lived.
