1858 Hair Locket

Description this is a locket I found in a bag of vintage buttons, I bought at an estate sale. the locket is a morning, or memory locket that includes a lock of hair and an engraving. The lock of hair is under a bubble glass casing on the inside of the locket, and the engraving is over gold filled also located on the inside of the locket. the locket itself, seems to be made of brass and is smaller than a dime. This locket is in excellent condition. I ould like to know the value if any and more of an historical background for this time period. Thanks for looking!
