Long Description
The item is a solid wood carved figure in the shape of a native indian holding several cigars in one hand. It stands on an attached wooden pedestal that measures 15"x13" by 6 inches tall. There are no markings on the figure. It has been in the family since 1951.
History
Was used at 5th and Market st in Philadelphia, Pa around 1840. Was sold to my wifes grandparents by d.s. Donachy who owned Lycoming Coin Machine Co. in Williamport, Pa in 1951. Have original letter written by Mr. Donachy dated June 30 1951.
