Pleukharp table 1890's

Description

The table is stamped patented by James Pleukharp, Columbus, OH. I have been trying to find out more information but I am not having any luck. We have been told it is from the late 1890's.

The table has an expansion mechanism and the corner fasters are trademark of this furniture maker. The corners of the table have a hand carved pattern and there is a ribbon of wood going around the table. There are 6 chairs with hand carvings. The boards are numbered, I believe this is also a method of this maker.

The table is in the late Eastlake style , and appears to be oak. Most like this tend to date from the turn of the 19th century. I have no information on the maker comparable tables sell at auction for about $500.00.
