 I actually have no idea what this is.  I can only imagine it's some sort of bud vase.

Medium the top part is made of glass, the stem is a metal, probably silver
Distinguishing marks stamped on the bottom is 'Albany Silver Plate Co' 'Quadruple?' and a signature but i don't know what it says.
Condition Mint
Size and dimensions of this item Approx. 11" tall, the bottom is 3 1/2" around.
Date Period no idea
Weight approx. 14 oz.
History I received it from my mother-in-law from her great uncle. She said he was wealthy, had a lot of antiques and his table was always dressed with silver and crystal for every meal.
