Green Stoneware Pottery Jar dated 2-28-47 with JW OSU on bottom

Description

I want to figure out what this jar is, whoa made it, and what it's worth? It has the initials JW (I think) on the bottom with the letters OSU, I will attach pitucres of the bottom). It is in good condition and was bought in a garage sale in a wealthy neaigberhood in Lake Forest IL.
