vintage plaster and coated dog figurines carnival prizes?

Description

Two  mastiff type dog figurines bought at an auction. They have a plaster base with some type of  hard coating covering them. 8 1/2 " long, 6" tall.  Each has a blanket of red velvet with gold fringe. I thought they may have been a carnival prize. Can't find any info on them. Curious about their origins and value.
