This antique Georgian silver platter has been in my family for many years. It was last appraised in 1997 for $8,000. It is in excellent condition except for a few scratches on the top which can be seen in the close up photos I have provided. When just polished the silver is shiny and beautiful. I cannot find the last appraisal I had for it but I think I remember it said something like "louis XIV"...? I remember for sure that it said Georgian silver. I appreciate any comments on the history or value of the item, and what the best way to sell it would be if I were to sell it. Thank you very much in advance :)
