Antique Chest of Drawers

By Wbkilby, 7 July, 2012
Description

This is a beautiful, heavy antique dresser.  Unfortunately, I do not know anything about it.  I am looking for an appraisal because I don't know where to begin on pricing this for sale.  As you can see from the photos, one of the clawfoot feet has chunks of the wood broken off.  Also there appears to be - what looks like some burn damage....see the photos of the black areas that are on the bottom of the dresser.  To my knowlege, though, there was never any fire. There are no odd smells or stains. The back feet are not claw feet but turned wood.  The drawers are deep.  There are two columns on the front of the dresser.  The top of the dresser is in good shape.
