"Antiquities/Relics/Historical Items?????

Description

I'm not sure what these two items represent.  Long ago (30 years) a friend borrowed money (haven't seen him since so I consider these "mine") and left me his box of "valuables."  He claimed that he dug these up during an archeological dig in Northern San Diego County...I think Palomar Mountain or Borrego areas.  The "Indian" doesn't really look Indian, but I don't know what else it could be.  It is made of some type of metal,,,yet has a dark brick red color (it isn't brick material) sprinkled with darker colorations,  No distinguishing marks or "seams" apparant.  It is just under 5" in height and weighs less than a pound.  Looks very old...not sure if it is anything of value or just a piece of old junk.

The other item has same history. Looks like some type of old drinking apparatus..but stands on it's own when "upside down."  One of three legs is missing and it is heavy.  Measures 7 1/4" from bottom of leg to large "lip."  Measures across from small "lip" to large "lip" at 6 3/4".   I don't have a scale but estimate that it is 1-2 lbs.  There is a seam down the sides, but no apparent welding marks.

Just curious as to what you might think about these unique, strange, and perhaps old items?

Thanks in advance for your time and attention.
