This is a old bell that my dad bought at an antique store in the 80's. They had it on a stand that he built in their yard.

These are old farm bells, used to call in the hired help, announcing meals emergencies or unexpected company. Most of them date from the last quarter of the 19th century, but were reproduced in considerable numbers during the 1980's. Values for them today are realtively modest after peaking in the early 1990's, most I see go at auction these days is for about $150.00
