Primative pottery teapot?

Description

Very heavy pottery teapot.  Looks like a red pepper (although very dark red) and green pepper with flowers and stems.  The insides looks to be glazed but the hole is too small to photograph.  I cannot read the maker's mark on the bottom, if that;s even what it is.  I would appreciate any help in identifying this piece. Thank you!
