**Kentucky Sugar Chest Would Love ANY Info

Description

I am told this is a sugar chest from Kentucky. My neighbor says that her parents had it when she was a little girl and that her mother is from Kentucky. I have no other knowledge of the history. The top opens forward and has a lock on it. It is missing two hinges. The bottom drawer has no lock and is missing the two handles it used to have. I am very interested to know the value of this piece or similar pieces.

Hello, well it almost looks like at one time was a desk turned into a sugar chest but thats only because of pics, would need pics of inside, bottom, and the back, but if in fact it is a real sugar chest it would be quite valueable. the wood looks to be cherry.
