Description

I have obtained this antique wooden german catholic prayer box.  The wooden box has a sliding lid.  When the lid is removed, there is a piece of glass protecting a tiny wax doll holding a wooden cross.  The back of the box lid has a paper attached with german text that I am assuming is a prayer.  I have researched many sites trying to find a similar item to compare and obtain a general value.  I have been unable to find anything even close and am becoming frustrated.  Can you help?

"The Christ Child of Loreto (Salzburger Kindl) is a miraculous statue of the infant Jesus now housed in Maria Loreto Convent in Salzburg, Austria.

Dating from the 17th century, the small statue of the Christ Child originated in Switzerland. It was given to a Capuchin priest named Fr. John Chrysostom Schenk by his monastic superior. The priest held the statue very dear to his heart and took it with him on all his priestly errands in a small wooden box."
