Based on your images and information you paid about the going rate for this piece ( $100.00-$125.00) It's silver bullion melt value ( today's rate) is about $38.00.
Well I'll just sit on it no hurry was only tring to find the pattern because i've researched it and even called the company in Chicago. The company was taken over some years ago and they don't have a clue. I saw a similar one on e-bay going for 125.00
It looks like a 7 1/8" Medium Cold Meat Serving Fork in the Strasbourg pattern that was patented by Gorhan in 1897. C. D. Peacock is just the retailer of this sterling silver server. You should find the old gorham "lion, anchor and G hallmarks near the sterling mark.
With no inscriptions or monograms and in excellent condition this item retails on Replacements, LTD for $199.95. Assuming your piece is in excellent condition and without monogram, $100 would be a fair auction or private sale estimate. Strasbourg is one of Gorham's most desirable patterns.
