Adjustable Steel and Wood Chair

Appraisal complete
Description

Chair with adjustable, bent wood back.  Looks a lot like an old '40s drafting stool, but the seat height isn't adjustable.  Wingnuts adjust back height.  Round wooden seat sits on square steel frame with tulip curved legs.  No identifying marks.  From all I can tell, it may be a Toledo/Uhl or just a knock off.

I inherited these chairs from a friend who paid a lot for them at a swanky boutique in Los Angeles.  Any thoughts about what these chairs are, what they're really worth and how much I could sell them for?
