We get a lot of these chairs through here, most of them date about World War One (1914-18) or shortly after . Most tend to be maple with a dark mahogany finish. These were mass produced items , the carving is all applied by machine. We retail comparable examples in good condition for about $225.00, but they often go for about $75.00 at auction.
