Description

I had the item come in my shop today. From all the hallmarks it referenced online I think this item is rather old. I have photos of the hallmarks.

It looks like London and pre 1800. Can someone else look at the pictures and supply some info?

Everything you have portrayed it to be is correct, there is little to add regarding origins. As to value, this piece has no design features that would command much if any premium over metal values. A very run of the mill piece for the era but thanks for sharing.

According to the hallmarks this piece was made in London in 1797 by Robert Swanson. What the other poster has mentioned about value is on the mark. While desirable, these are not rare pieces.
