WWII Japanese American Wood Carving Painting

Description

i have a wood block carved panel of a geisha over-looking the water standing on a bridge. it has a lot of carved detail and is signed on bottom right corner in a vertical line in japanese, i am assuming. on left hand corner in englished is carved  "to miss giles 1948 11 22 teacheres union". i have a picture i would love to show someone who is an expert in this area of wood block carvings from that era.
