Long Description
We just purchased this dining table because it looked like a nice peice of furniture. I have little to no knowledge of antiques and was interested to learn how old it is and what kind of wood it might be as well as the approximate value. It has an oval shaped top with what I think is called an apron - a carved skirt along the bottom edge of the table. The base consists of an ornately carved pedestal which has four legs at the bottom with scrolls for feet. The centre of the pedestal looks like a carved flower of some kind and there are flowers carved into the legs as well. If anyone could help me date this peice and learn a little more about its possible history I would be most appreciative. Thank you :)
History
table top looks as if it has been refinished at some point. Otherwise the table is in excellent condition. It was obviously kept by someone who took great care with it. I think it came from a deceased estate
