This is an early style Railroad Crossing Bell produced in the 1920's by the Railroad Supply Company of Chicago. You can find info about the bell from this old catalouge [skip to page 69].

How heavy is the bell? If you are still thinking about selling it, I can buy it from you for $200.00 sometime in May of this year, but only if you can ship it. I collect railroad crossing bells.

This was made by Western Railroad Supply, I believe the company is still in production. Not a big demand for these except ampung collectors, an older one like this might go for $100.00- $200.00 at auction.
