Plates like these were originally sold as blanks during the late 19th Century and hand painted by Pottery studios who would resell them, or they were painted by Art students . China decorating was a popular hobby during that period, identifying the artist is almost impossible without some sort of family provenance. Values for them vary a great deal depending on the quality of the decoration, we retail most of them for under $50.00.
